These two beauties were such a pleasure to photograph! I was amazed at how quickly they warmed up to me and my camera. It was a treat for me when they would actually make eye contact over and over again, and even pose the way I asked them to.
I love their gorgeous blonde hair and their beautiful eyes! Both seemed just so sweet and if it weren't so close to nap time, I'm sure we could've went on much longer than we did.

When little N was just 6 days old, I had the priveledge to photograph him, and yesterday I got to photograph him again, along with his big sister, A. I can't believe how fast he has grown already! I love all him and all his chunkiness. And little A is about as sweet as can be! I'm not sure she cared much for my camera, but in the end, when I asked if she liked me, she said yes and even gave me a kiss! Then when I asked if I could take her picture, she smiled so sweetly! So I guess, now, we are friends! Here are a few of my favorites from yesterday's beach session:

As summer comes to an end, and we gear up for another school year, I thought it would be fun to share our favorite summer memories.

My favorite summer memory this year is just from this past weekend, teaching my son how to swim. He's only 3, but he's determined to learn how. He tried over and over again at the YMCA pool, going back and forth between the wall and me. I hope he gets it before the weather cools down. I'd love to see the smile on his face when he finally swims to me with out sinking under the water!

I'm always looking for some fresh faces to add to my portfolio! So I thought it would be fun to hold a contest to see who my next Fresh Face is going to be!
Do you think your child is model material (and the cutest ever)? Is he / she photogenic, enjoys having their picture taken and is cooperative? Then keep reading for some details.
How does it work?
If you have a child between the ages of 6 months and 12 years of age and have not had a session with Jennifer in the past 6 months, you can enter. Submit a recent (non-professional) photo to jennifer@jenniferjabbour.com . Be sure to put FRESH FACES in the subject line. (at this time prints will not be accepted)
Entries close on August 15th, midnight PST.
All entries must include the child's name, date of birth, and a valid contact email of parent or legal guardian (grandparents, you must have permission from parents to enter your grandchild. No names will be publicly announced, except for the top 2 winners and only first names will be released). Also, if someone referred you to the contest that is a current client, please include their name so I can give them the proper thank you.
Twins and multiples may be entered together.
All submitted photos must be recent (within 4 weeks of submission)
Once entries close, a panel of professional photographers (not including myself) will vote for the winner.
All entrants must be subscribed to the newsletter (you can join the newsletter by entering your email address and selecting "Join the Mailing List" in the Reason for Contact list)... newsletters only go out once a month and sometimes a special announcement is made via email contact.
What does the winner receive?
There will be two (2) winning places. Grand prize and a runner up (based on total votes)

A few weeks ago, I had the priveledge of meeting this beautiful family in the park. Little J is one of the smiliest guys I have ever met, and little H is a very determined little girl! Their personalities are great and I think I captured them well. Here's a few of my favorites from this session:
Congratulations, Emily! Just a little over a week ago, I held my first photography workshop for parents. It was a great success, at least in my opinion! We talked about the basics of what makes a photo good and then I sent the parents on their way with a challenge - take a photo applying what they learned, and submit it for a photo contest against their peers.
